April Make and Take

I had a great time today stamping and making cards for my April Make and Take.  I taught them how to make two simple 3D flowers and they loved it. 

Next Thursday I will host a Paper Pumpkin Party and all of my customers who have ordered this great product will come and eat, drink and be crafty. 

Below is our dog Max.  He has the cutest tuft of hair we thought that we would try to put in a pony tail.  I am not sure what exactly he looks like but we thought it was super funny.

We have a great friend of the family who fell ill and was in the hospital for a couple of weeks.  This is the card I made him to lighten his mood.  He loved it.  He showed it to all of his visitors and was impressed that the light was still on right before he was released.

When I woke up this morning I checked my email and was surprised by the number of congratulatory emails I had received.  It took a while, but I finally found the source.  An email announcing I was one of three recipients of the Late Night Stampers Heart Award.  Deborah Smart www.stampandcreate.net and Jackie Watson http://jackielwatson.blogspot.com are the other two lucky ladies.  Please go to their blogs and congratulate them.  This award is given to members who go above and beyond to care and share with their fellow late night stampers.  What is Late Night Stampers?  It is a group of demonstrators on Stampin' Connection, Stampin' Up's online community forum exclusively for demonstrators.  It is a great source of information, inspiration and encouragement.  Let me know if you would like information on how you can join us.

Pinterest + MDS = Project Complete

Are you a fan of Pinterest.  I personally LOVE it.  I have found so much inspiration and helpful tips it is amazing.  I found this cute little saying that I wanted to make for my house.  I knew I would most likely not make it.  I don't usually have time for painting, cutting, pasting... not to mention the time it would take for the paint to dry.

Tami Waddell has posted a challenge to her downline to make a home decor item using Stampin' Up product including My Digital Studio!  Immediately I thought of my Pin.  Below is what I entered into the challenge.  I am so happy with it!  Instead of taking days like it would have if I had tried to do the original project it took about an hour.  (To be completely honest it probably would not have taken that long but I am still getting my feet wet with this great program.)

Combining 2 Great Loves!

I have a great love of animals and work with several different local groups fostering and caring for animals.  I was recently asked to create a Thank You card to give to a generous donor.  Immediately I thought of using MDS (My Digital Studio) to create the card.  MDS is new to me and is now only $19.95.  This is a great way to digitally create cards, scrapbook pages, tags and more.   This is my first run. The dog pictured is one that has been helped through the Excelsior Springs Friends Of Animals or ESFOA.

When Bleach Goes Right.

I am sure everyone has at least one bad run in with the bleach.  Usually it does not end will.  Tomorrow I am going to show my customers, friends and family how to use bleach for making cards!  I am so excited!  I used the Stampin' Spritzer filled with bleach and lightly sprayed the Basic Gray card stock base and the Rich Razzleberry flower from the Fun Flowers Bigz Die.  Love the look the bleach gives you. 

Here in Kansas City we have a very busy weekend.  We are having the Big 12 Conference downtown as well as the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday.  But most importantly my sister and her daughters are coming in from out of town!  I can't wait to see them.  They even get to come to my make and take on Sunday.  I hope everyone has a fun, safe weekend!
