I am having a great time preparing for my open house!  I am at the making samples stage and loving it!  It has been a while since I have been able to lock myself in my craft room and make cards and things.  Today I have made a charm and a card!

For this card I used So Saffron, Basic Black and Whisper White Paper.

Open House

On August 1st ordering from the Seasonal Catalog will start!  I am so excited!  There are tons of great products and ideas.  I decided to have an Open House on the 3rd to display some of the products and samples.  I will also have My Digital Studio up so visitors can see how this great program works hands on.  I will have door prizes, snacks and refreshments. 

So tonight I am busy getting things in order.  I have made several prizes and card samples already.  The Make and Take tag and card are ready.

Father's Day 2013

I have truly been blessed with such a loving and wonderful father.  My husband is a great father who was raised by a great father.  To honor them on Father's Day I made a special card for each. 

 This one I used the Paper Pumpkin kit from March and added the Happy Father's Day sentiment.  It was so easy since the Paper Pumpkin kit is already color coordinated and comes with the stickers.  All I needed to do was stamp and stick. 

I used Blue Ribbon, Clockworks and a stamp in the First kit from Paper Pumpkin.

I used the blocking technique and Delightful Dozen for this card.  

 I couldn't leave it alone so I added some buttons.

This is my precious Patch.  We have had her since she was 2 weeks old and I had to bottle feed her.  She wants to be where ever I am.  I had taken her off my lap so many times that she resorted to here to sleep.

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mother celebrated her 59th birthday yesterday.  We had a good time visiting with her and gave her a potted flower for her new stand she received from my brother for Mother's Day.  Although she enjoyed the flowers she really liked the card I made for her.  I like the bright yellow with the black and white.  I embossed and fussy cut the bees.  On the one on the flower I attached it to a bit of floral wire I wrapped to give it a springy flying effect.  This was really fun to make. 

It won't be long now before Stampin' Up welcomes a new catalog.  I have seen it and it is WONDERFUL!!! I will be sharing some cards and crafts made using some of the new products.  You are going to LOVE them!  I am so excited.

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday was my parents 40th Anniversary!  I am so blessed to have a great role model of what love and sacrifice is!  I made them this gift card holder card to help them celebrate.  I have also entered it in the Late Night Stampers Challenge 222.  I hope you all have a very happy Mother's Day!

April Make and Take

I had a great time today stamping and making cards for my April Make and Take.  I taught them how to make two simple 3D flowers and they loved it. 

Next Thursday I will host a Paper Pumpkin Party and all of my customers who have ordered this great product will come and eat, drink and be crafty. 

Below is our dog Max.  He has the cutest tuft of hair we thought that we would try to put in a pony tail.  I am not sure what exactly he looks like but we thought it was super funny.

We have a great friend of the family who fell ill and was in the hospital for a couple of weeks.  This is the card I made him to lighten his mood.  He loved it.  He showed it to all of his visitors and was impressed that the light was still on right before he was released.
