Knit Ruffle Scarf

My mother saw this scarf on a co-worker who had purchased it at a local craft fair and fell in love with it.  She looked on line to see how it was made and learned that it was knitted.  My mom is not technologically advanced but found a You Tube video and tried to make it herself.  She could not learn to knit.  I came over and showed her and now, after 60 something years she can now knit.  Since then she has made upwards of 10 scarfs.  I was amazed!  This is the scarf that I have created.  I knit then pearled so all the ruffles are on one side making it lay flat.  I can't wait to make more in different colors.

Final 4 for January

I finished the 4 card for this months Make and Take.  I tried  to have a variety and include one for Valentine's Day.  You saw the one for Valentine's Day in the previous post and a preview of an any occasion card.  Well, here it is completed and the final 2 cards.

January 2013 Make and Take Preview

January is an exciting time for Stampin' Up.  We start the new Seasonal Catalog and on January 22nd the Sale-A-Bration sale.  In addition I have an exciting announcement on Saturday!  Above is a preview of some of what we will be creating on Saturday and Sunday.

Happy New Year

Today is the last day of 2012.  We will ring in the New Year with my parents this evening after playing card games and snacking on spinach dip and shrimp cocktail.  I hope to be in the craft room creating more in 2013. 

Here are a couple of 3x3's that I made.  I will be making a bigger version of the car card for my youngest son for his birthday.

Merry Christmas!

This week has been a whirlwind of Christmas gatherings.  It is always great to spend time with all of our family members.  Somehow we have managed to get all presents wrapped and cards made in the mist of the chaos.  This is the card I made for my mom and dad this year.  My mom loves things that are small and really enjoyed the easel card we made at the December make and take.  I saw this on a demonstrator website and had to try it.  It was fun to make and Mom loved it!  I hope you enjoy it too!

Grandma's Christmas Card

Today we got to visit my husband's grandmother.  I love her.  From the first time I met her she has been nothing but loving, warm and easy going.  She currently lives in a nursing home and likes to display the card and pictures she gets.  This year I was inspired to make her what I call a lantern card.  She will be able to display it and have a bit of light shining through.

Now I am working on cards for the other grandmas.  I hope to finish tomorrow and post them soon.

3 by 3 How Cute You Can Be

Each month 3 fellow demonstrators and I get together at a local Panera and make a couple of 3x3 card fronts.  We have a great time and get some great ideas for our customers!

These are a couple that I made for last month.  Tomorrow we meet again and I will share more but want to keep it a surprise until then.
