Working on Birthdays

Although I liked my last birthday card, I was thinking it was not really what I wanted for my son for his birthday.  I think I am getting close with this one. 



This picture was taken of our King Charles Caviler, Molly and foster puppy Cora.  It officially snowed 9" here in Kansas City with many places receiving more than 12".  We received 10" at our house and Molly and Max love it!  Max is the cocker spaniel.  I love his goofy look.

How Do You Prepare for a Snow Day or Two?

Here in Kansas City we are currently experiencing snow.  We are expected to receive over 12" of the powdery white stuff.  My children are so excited!  I thought that I would prepare by making a couple of cards.  So last night these are what I created.

This on might be my oldest sons birthday card.  I can't decide if I want to make another one or not. 

I love how simple these are.  Midnight Muse is my favorite In Color 2012-2014 color!  (Mostly because I love the color blue but it is just great.)

I hope to go to the craft room and create more today!

So Glad to Be Back!

I am so glad to be feeling better.  For the past week and a half I have not been well but I am back to normal now!  These are a couple of card I worked on using the Sale-A-Bration set Feeling Sentimental and You're Amazing.  I love how these turned out.  I used Very Vanilla and Early Espresso Card Stock and Early Espresso Ink.

Featured February Technique

Knit Ruffle Scarf

My mother saw this scarf on a co-worker who had purchased it at a local craft fair and fell in love with it.  She looked on line to see how it was made and learned that it was knitted.  My mom is not technologically advanced but found a You Tube video and tried to make it herself.  She could not learn to knit.  I came over and showed her and now, after 60 something years she can now knit.  Since then she has made upwards of 10 scarfs.  I was amazed!  This is the scarf that I have created.  I knit then pearled so all the ruffles are on one side making it lay flat.  I can't wait to make more in different colors.

Final 4 for January

I finished the 4 card for this months Make and Take.  I tried  to have a variety and include one for Valentine's Day.  You saw the one for Valentine's Day in the previous post and a preview of an any occasion card.  Well, here it is completed and the final 2 cards.
