This is the second on I did I used some ribbon that was left over from the Winter Occasions catalog. I love it and wish it was carried in the Idea Book, perhaps in June. Until next week, have a safe and fun weekend!

Simple Happy Mother's Day
This is a simple Mother's Day card I made using the new Summer Smooches. These are just a sneak peak at what new things are to come in the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up catalog. Hurry and place your order because after April 30th you will have to wait until June 1st to enjoy these new stamp and paper sets!

I have been playing around with Instagram in preparation for a scrapbooking page I want to do. I have shared some of the pictures of some of my favorite subjects, my foster kitten and kids!
This is my youngest riding on his bike and a beautiful day here in KC. Who would have guessed it was spring!
This is my daughter. She was playing with the chalk and I love the grainy and vintage feel of the filter.
Tiffy again but I only used the outside or circle blur.
Playing with the different filters and effects has been fun. Now to print and play!
If you haven't seen the Summer Smooches preview for the upcoming 2012-2013 catalog yet I encourage you to do so. The smooches will not be available after the 30th until the catalog release on June 1st! Also going on is the retired list! The stamps on this list will not be available once they are sold out! I will greatly miss many of them so don't delay!

Menu Board Pinterest Inspired
Pinterest inspired me to make this menu board. I used clearance fabric that I liked for the background and covered soap boxes that I had cut down for the holders. I painted the clothes pins and hot glued them on. I used Stampin' Up's xl oval punch and scallop oval to the tags. I wrote the name of the recipe on one side of the Excel spreadsheet and on the other a grid with ingredients and a check box. I then laminated the cards so I can use the back as a grocery list with a dry erase marker. I separated into Main Dished and Sides. I also printed on colored card stock so the Chicken, Beef, Pork, etc. are all easily seen. I really liked how it turned out and how well it works for our family.

March 2012 Make and Take
This is a pretty simple card that I had made for my March Make and Take. I really liked the color combinations.
When I saw the Gnome stamps from the Occasions Mini I knew I had to have it! I think it is so cute!!! This is the first time we used the water coloring technique at a Make and Take and everyone did great!
St. Patrick's Day card using the heart punch to make 4 leaf clover.
Used the Fresh Vintage set from Sale-A-Bration. It is one of my favorites! If you missed out on getting it don't fret. Contact me to see how you can get one.

Black and White Cards for April Make and Take
This is the first card for my April Make and take. The focus, as mentioned in previous posts, was Black and Whites. I was able to use the new diagonal scoring board and it made it very easy!
This is the front and back of card 2. I love the Elizabeth stamp and was really glad I got to use it!
Card 3 I wove the ribbon through the lace ribbon border and used the antique brads for the center of the doily stamp.
Card 4 is monochromatic. I used the versa mark and woodgrain stamp to add a slight texture to the background.
I was really surprised how fast these came together and how many more ideas I had while making them.

Have an a-maze-ing day using scraps!
This is the birthday card I made for my now 12 year old son. I has the scrap paper from an earlier card we did at one of my make and takes (pictured below.) I wanted something that was not quite young but not older either. He enjoyed it so I guess I hit the mark.
On this card I embossed the Wish Big with the vanilla embossing powder from the Occasions Mini and it smells delicious!

Inspiration for BW Make and Take
As we were working on this card at my March Make and Take, the ladies and I were saying how much we liked the Black and White combination. It inspired me to have a Black and White Make and Take where we focus on 4 black and white cards for various occasions. This weekend that is exactly what we are doing! If you would like to participate please let me know! We always have a great time. Can't come? No problem. I would be very happy to schedule a workshop for you!

Keep Cupin'
I am not sure if this happens at your house, but at the end of any given day we have at least 15 - 20 cups that make their way to the kitchen to be washed. It seems like the kids and another adult member of the family have to have a new cup for each drink! In an effort to combat this, I decided to make each of the members of our family a cup cozy. We each have our own fabric and only 1 cup a day is to be used. Here is a picture of my cozy. I sure hope this works! If not, I at least learned how to sew in a circle! (I also learned that I would like to have a new sewing machine!)
